Postcards from L.A. is a series of four artworks that explore our relationship with American Mass Media - particularly those of us participating as outsiders in other countries - and the way visual culture is coded in an intricate language built from our interactions. Simultaneously, the pieces convey a personal journey I undertook in December 2013 while visiting Los Angeles for the first time, and the breakdown of my perception and my identity built within mass media.

The works were mounted onto thick chipboard and coated with a matt glaze, mimicking the style in which bought posters were often displayed in our childhood bedrooms.

Postcards from L.A. was accompanied by a thesis, which can be read here.
