Moving to Paris and being introduced to it's vast metro system was equal parts thrilling and daunting; back home in Australia there was nothing that compared to the sheer number of stations, the age of the system and well, that familar stench of old pee...

As someone who loves the classic Art Noveau style of the original metro entrances, it was sad to see a city-wide effort to redesign the station signage in bland white and blue, taking away all the character and charm of a vital part of every Parisian's daily life. So, I took it upon myself to do a little redesigning of my own - albeit in a very YEG fashion! This series is ongoing as there's literally hundreds of metro stops (some of which I've never even stopped at yet), so for now it's a little pick and choose of my favourite and local ones.
